Your Artistic Design Ideas for the exterior of Rotorua’s New Skyscraper
Remember the Mayor said she would like our Skyscraper to reflect our unique culture in Rotorua. How would you like the exterior of Rotorua’s New Skyscraper to look? What unique aspects of our culture would you include in your design? What colours would you include? Why have you chosen these features and colours?

Design and Create Your New Apartment for Your Whānau in our Skyscraper
Do you remember the Mayor said we need to think about including apartments for people to live in in our skyscraper?
Task 5
Design the Amenities for our new Skyscraper
A Skyscraper can be a fantastic place to live and work. They often have shops and little cafes in them as well. Do you know what other cool things many skyscrapers have for the people who live and work in them? Often they have fun amenities like swimming pools, playgrounds, gyms and some even have tenpin bowling, movie theatres and mini golf courses on the roof!

Introducing our waka stem challenge for the week. Find something in your home or yard, how high can you stack it...?? The winner is the most original and most intricately constructed tower. Check out Whaea Adrienne's attempt at using cards last week in Room 20s competition... Yours could be made with stones, leaves, sticks, firewood, cans of food, toys, pillows, recycled boxes, whatever you can find. Send pictures of your tower through to your teacher and we will post them up here for everyone to see. A prize will be given to the tower that is the most original and most intricately constructed when we return to school. Have fun!
